Car manufacturer Dacia is again stopping car production at its Mioveni plant for 2 days due to a shortage of electronic components.
“The lack of electronic components continues to affect the automotive industry, including Dacia. We are making every effort to limit the impact on production and we are working at a steady pace with our suppliers. We have crisis cells in Supply Chain and Purchasing and we are implementing all appropriate measures. However, the activity of the Mioveni vehicle plant will be interrupted on September 27 and 28 “, says Dacia’s communication department.
Dacia also stopped production for five days in early September, also due to a lack of electronic components. Production at the Mioveni plant was also stopped in February (twice), March, April and June for a few days because of the global semiconductors’ crisis.
Around 15,000 people work in the Mioveni Vehicle Plant.
