The year-to-date inflation rate (November 2021 compared to December 2020) is 7.4% and the annual inflation rate in November 2021 compared to November 2020 is 7.8%, data published Monday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS), as quoted by News.ro, show.

“The consumer price index in November 2021 compared to October 2021 is 100%. The year-to-date inflation rate (November 2021 compared to December 2020) is 7.4%. The annual inflation rate in November 2021 compared to November 2020 is 7.8%,” INS data show.

The average rate of consumer prices in the last 12 months (December 2020 – November 2021) compared to the previous 12 months (December 2019 – November 2020) is 4.5%.

The harmonized index of consumer prices in November 2021 compared to October 2021 is 100.26%.

The annual inflation rate in November 2021 compared to November 2020 calculated on the basis of the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) is 6.7%.

The average rate of consumer prices in the last 12 months (December 2020 – November 2021) compared to the previous 12 months (December 2019 – November 2020) determined on the basis of the HICP is 3.7%.

Non-food goods increased in November by 10.49% compared to November 2020, food goods by 6.10% and services by 4.09%.

Among food commodities, the most expensive were edible oil, up 28.17% in November compared to November 2020 and 2.31% compared to October 2021, oil, bacon and fats, up 25.39% compared to November 2020 and 2.25% compared to October 2021. Potatoes were 22.55% more expensive in November than in November 2020 and 2.72% more expensive than in October this year.

Among non-food goods, the most expensive were gas, up 49.42% from November 2020 and 2.29% from October 2021, fuel, up 25.55% from November 2020 and 1.67% from October 2021, and electricity, gas and central heating, up 23.18% from November 2020 and 5.16% cheaper than in October this year.

On the services side, water, sewerage, sanitation services were 6.88% more expensive in November than in November 2020 and 0.10% more expensive than in October 2021. Health care services were 5.50% more expensive than November 2020 and 0.28% more expensive than October 2021.
