Hyundai’s importer in Romania has announced that the Ioniq 5 will be unveiled today, 10 September. Hyundai’s first dedicated electric Ioniq model has been developed based on the brand’s new dedicated platform for electric vehicles – the Electric Global Modular Platform.

The E-GMP offers 800V and 400V charging as standard, without the need for additional components or adapters. The Ioniq 5 is one of the world’s first electric vehicles equipped with 800 V infrastructure. This allows the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes. What’s more, after a charge of just five minutes, the vehicle gains a range of 100 km.

The V2L function also allows any electric device to be powered or charged, and the model can be equipped with a sunroof that can prevent the battery from discharging while providing additional range.
