A week before the world premiere, Dacia officials announced that the name of the next seven-seater model will be the Dacia Jogger.

In early June, it was announced that Dacia would show a seven-seater family model at the IAA Munich. Until the car’s official unveiling on September 6, speculation will be rife about the new car’s features.

According to Dacia, the Jogger is the ideal companion for families, both on the urban routes of everyday life and on longer trips to the countryside on weekends or holidays. With its characteristic pragmatic spirit, Dacia offers a vehicle that allows customers to enjoy the simple pleasures of life with their loved ones.

The Dacia Jogger could be equipped with the TCe 90, TCe 130, Blue dCi 150 and Eco-G 100 engines.

The new seven-seater model will be a crossover that replaces both the Logan MCV estate and Lodgy MPV in the range.

“Jogger is a simple, modern name that anyone can pronounce and is universally understandable. It stands for dynamism, positive energy and outdoor spirit. The suffix ‘er’ like Duster, Dacia’s flagship SUV model, evokes the ruggedness and endurance of an ideal everyday companion for Dacia families,” adds Dacia.

The French press also notes that the Dacia Jogger will be equipped with the 1.3 TCe E-Tech hybrid system. If confirmed, the Dacia Jogger will become the first model of the Romanian brand with a hybrid propulsion system.
