AROBS Transilvania Software, a Romanian IT company, made its debut on the AeRO market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, with shares traded under the stock symbol AROBS. Founded in 1998 by Romanian entrepreneur Voicu Oprean, AROBS has now grown to seven offices in Romania and another seven abroad, providing software services and solutions to various industries in countries across Europe, North America and Asia. The company’s founder announced that in 2022 he aims to open an AROBS subsidiary in the US.
In October this year, AROBS closed the largest private placement in the history of the AeRO market on the first day, attracting 74.2 million lei from investors. The funds attracted will support the company’s expansion strategy, through the acquisition of IT companies both domestically and internationally, the opening of new subsidiaries in major markets in Europe and the United States, as well as for the development of the company’s expertise and specializations, company representatives say.
“We are sure that the status of a listed company will bring them benefits that I am sure they will use to the advantage of the company and investors. We are also pleased that AROBS managed to attract a record amount from investors for the AeRO market, over 74 million lei. The amount of funding demonstrates the development capacity of this market as well as the level of investor confidence in AeRO’s future”, said Radu Hanga, President of the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
“The debut of our shares on the AeRO market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange is an important milestone for me and the company. I thank my colleagues in AROBS Group for their involvement, without which today’s success would not have been possible”, Voicu Oprean, CEO and founder of AROBS Transilvania Software, added. He added that his team is working on future acquisitions of companies that develop software products or own and operate business optimisation solutions and fleet management products. “At the same time, given the increasing demand for software services and solutions globally, in 2022, we are aiming to open an AROBS subsidiary in the US to be closer to our partners there, as well as to increase our presence in the very valuable North American market,” said Voicu Oprean, CEO and founder of AROBS Transilvania Software.
In the private placement conducted on 15 October 2021, the company sold a total of 54,697,494 new registered, ordinary, dematerialized shares to 149 retail investors, 38 professional investors and 9 institutional investors who subscribed for shares at a price of 1.357 lei per share. The private placement and listing of AROBS shares was carried out with the support of BRK Financial Group.
“The listing of AROBS comes after the completion of a private placement of shares in the second half of October through which AROBS raised a record 74 million lei in a share capital increase. This placement attracted huge interest from both retail and professional investors, so it was closed early from the first day of the placement, which shows us once again the high investor appetite for Romanian entrepreneurial companies”, said Monica Ivan, Managing Director of BRK Financial Group.
