Inflation rate rose to 3.24% in April. The biggest price increases: electricity, oil and fuels

The annual inflation rate rose to 3.24% in April this year, from 3.1% in March, according to data released Tuesday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS). The biggest increases were in electricity, oil, and fuel.

Non-food goods became more expensive by 5.21%, food goods by 0.76%, and services by 2.61%, compared to April 2020.

“Consumer prices in April 2021 compared to March 2021 increased by 0.5%. The inflation rate at the beginning of the year (April 2021 compared to December 2020) is 2.6%. The annual inflation rate in April 2021 compared to April 2020 is 3.2%.
