Real estate developer Gabriel Focșeneanu is building a villa complex in Mogoșoaia, called Hambar44 Redesigned Living, the first real estate project in Romania where you can buy a house with cryptocurrencies.
The barn homes are smart, will be controllable by phone, will have zero carbon emissions and individual geothermal heat pumps. A home workspace is built for free by the developer and will belong to the whole community.
“Buying homes with cryptocurrencies is a first on the Romanian market and comes as a natural development given the growing number of Romanians who own virtual currencies. This project, as well as all its facilities, is part of our strategy to offer Romanian customers the most innovative tools tailored to their needs,” says Gabriel Focșeneanu.
The developer offers the facility to purchase houses with Bitcoin, the most widely used decentralized virtual currency in the world and, for maximum transparency, has signed a contract with the first full payment processor in Romania.
HAMBAR will include 12 homes and, through the facilities it will offer, is designed to be a community. Thus, for the first time in the residential market, the developer will build a community hub, which provides tenants with a space to work from home. In addition to this function, the space can be used as a playground for children and also for organizing various events.
“In a residential market where the needs of the buyer are constantly changing and the requirements increasingly complex, it is important to keep up with new trends. So we have identified a new type of home buyer and have consequently created a product to address it. It’s a gamble, given that we are pioneers in this demand segment, but I’m convinced it’s a winning coin,” said Gabriel Focșeneanu.
The launch of the project comes at a time when the barn house concept is in high demand and gaining ground with its simple, efficient structure that offers a community living solution close to nature.
The building complies with the EU’s mandatory nZEB (Nearly Zero Energy Building) standard. In addition, with its well-made insulation, heat loss is similar to that of a “passive house”.
The 12 houses in HAMBAR are based on Scandinavian principles and Nordic design. With average floor areas of around 150 square meters, the houses are efficiently and compactly divided and are priced at €180,000 + VAT.
Gabriel Focșeneanu is also involved in the development of Loft Green Apartments, also an ecological project, built in Mogoșoaia.
