Electric car registrations in Romania soared to a record high in November, following deliveries of the Dacia Spring, which has already started to be registered by new owners. Romania has reached a share of electric cars that was hard to imagine just a few years ago, the main factors being the Rabla Plus program and the launch of the Dacia Spring, writes News.ro.
After 11 months, the combined market share of fully electric and hybrid vehicles is 14.2% of the total market, amid a drop in deliveries of petrol and diesel cars.
At the same time, the volume of all-electric cars reached 4,301 units, more than double last year’s 2,111, an increase of 103.7%.
The leader of the electric car market at the moment is Dacia, which has established itself in first place with the Spring model, of which 1,537 have already been registered, with others already delivered and ready to be registered.
In second place is Volkswagen, which already has several electric and hybrid models. The leader is the e-Up, followed by the ID.3 and ID.4. Hyundai (with the Kona and Ioniq), Renault (with the ZOE), Skoda with the (Enyaq), are on the other places of the electric car ranking.
