ING Bank announced on Monday that it has launched a green loan for individuals who want to purchase a full electric or plug-in hybrid car.
The purchase of more environmentally friendly cars is growing globally. In Romania, according to an APIA study, the first four months of 2021 saw a 79.8% increase in sales of “electrified” cars compared to the same period of last year. Moreover, the number of plug-in hybrid cars sold has increased remarkably, by up to 155.25%.
Derived from the personal loan offer, the loan for a full electric or plug-in hybrid car has an interest rate ranging from 5.49% to 9.99%.
Thus, for customers that want to buy a 100% electric or plug-in hybrid car, bring their salary at ING and take out a loan of 50,000 lei over 5 years, with insurance, they have a fixed interest rate of 5.49% per year, pay a monthly instalment of 954.83 lei and finally repay 57,489.64 lei, with APR of 5.8%. The fee for analyzing the application is 200 lei. The early repayment fee is 0.5% or 1% if the remaining period of credit is less than or more than one year. Registration fee at the National Registry of Real Estate Publicity: 87.6 lei. The amount of the insurance premium for the first month is 69 lei, is not included in the instalment and decreases with the balance of the credit. The example is valid for up to 1,000 loans, but no later than 31.12.2021.
The ING electric car loan can be granted on the spot, based on a single document, i.e. the proforma invoice. ING Bank does not require a down payment for the loan nor does it require CASCO insurance.
