Several hundred employees of the Dacia plant in Mioveni spontaneously interrupted work on Wednesday morning, in order to draw attention to the fact that additional staff is needed, News.ro reports. People complain that new car models have entered production, and the workers on the lines need support for their assembly.
Employees from Dacia stopped working for about two hours on Wednesday, dissatisfied that new models had entered the production lines, and the employees on the production lines needed help.
“It was a spontaneous strike against the loading of some posts during the general assembly. There were some things that have an impact: since the beginning of the week new projects have come into the range and there are some difficulties related to mountability. The hierarchy has taken note and is dealing with these issues. As a measure, they will bring in staff to help them in that area. (…) There are two sections of equipment that had an impact due to a model that will follow, I put it in the range. People notified and rightly asked for this support from the administration, as it happened in the previous dates “, said for News.ro the union leader from Dacia, Viorel Ungureanu.
He explained that the pace of assembly lines is the same – 65 cars per hour – and people need help assembling the new model. At the time of this news, the spontaneous protest ended.
